I am a proud daughter, sister and granddaughter of a great family... now a wife and mother to the two most wonderful men on earth: Akang and our handsome son Kaysan (Raka).
I was born and spent the most of my life in Jakarta, Indonesia, where I currently live. Have previously lived in Brisbane, Australia dan Bandung, Indonesia for the purpose of education. In those places I gained a Bachelor Degree in Chemistry and a Master Degree in Communication for Social Change.
I am a proud hijabi who chooses to present myself the way I am based on the belief that although veiling of women is not compulsory, it is still the right and honourable thing to do. I never feel downgraded for the way I look despite living in a secular Western country, in fact, I feel blessed to be given this hidayah. I am not a feminist, against so-called women liberation, but always make sure all of women's rights are fulfilled justly, based on the Qur'an and teachings of the Prophet Muhammad SAW.
I have been blogging for a long long time, since 1997 (yes, I was 13 years old back then).
This blog depicts my day to day life, hence more personal. To read my more spiritual recordings of being a (good) Muslimah.. read my other blog, Ihdina Shiratal Mustaqim.
Hope you can be inspired :)
